NAU Mock Trial is a competitive, professional, and social organization designed to encourage interest in law, develop professional skills including public speaking, research, and argumentation. Focusing on both civil and criminal cases, competitors research, develop, refine, and present mock cases in competition with other chapters of the American Mock Trial Association.

About Us

Ryan Roberts
President
I'm a senior with 5 years of mock trial experience majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Law, Rights, and Justice. I plan to acquire a Master's Degree and Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Civil Engineering before pursuing a career in law, specializing in engineering-related legal matters. My hobbies include playing bass, cooking, collecting vinyl, and acting nonchalant in bars.

I’m a senior this year, from Tucson, Arizona and I’ve been obsessed with mock trial since I started competing when I was 13. Aside from Mock, I love playing pickleball and other sports, reading, gaming, and hanging out with friends. Fun fact, I also have a twin brother.

Jesse West
Public Relations Director
I'm a junior with a major in Social Work from Kingman, Arizona. This will be my third year with Mock Trial at NAU. When I'm not playing pretend in a courthouse, I love comic books, cooking, dancing, and working on my tight five. I'm also a member of the Lumberjack Marching Band's Color Guard!
